After angry scenes between the two men during Sunday’s Derby d’Italia, Max Allegri says Stephan Lichtsteiner’s reaction to being substituted was simply a misunderstanding.

Marko Pjaca was preparing to come on during the win over Inter, but instead Dani Alves replaced the Swiss full-back who subsequently barked furiously at the Juve boss on the touchline.

“It’s all cleared up with Stephan,” Allegri told reporters at his press conference on Tuesday. “There was a misunderstanding, he raised his hand and I thought he wanted to come off because he was dead. Then Dani Alves came on and things fitted.”
