Max Allegri took the time to discuss Juventus’ transfer market moves today in an interview with Sky Sport Italia. The coach outlined that Douglas Costa was indeed an objective for his side while Mattia De Sciglio was not.
“I think this year the challenge will be to improve the quality of the football and consequently have more control of the game, of big teams and important matches,” Allegri said.
Douglas Costa’s agent met with Juventus yesterday and apparently came to an agreement on wages with the club, now it will be Juventus’ job to find an agreement with Bayern.
“He is one of our objectives and he is very talented.”
Does Max like Bernardeschi?
“He is a young player of great potential for the Nazionale. De Sciglio? No, we are sorted in defence.”
Allegri was asked if Steven N’Zonzi was a specific request of his?
“I don’t make requests. I speak to the club and there are players who might be on the market who we seek out if they can improve the squad. But these are absolutely not requests, because not all players can come to Juventus.
“Patrik Schick isn’t a Juventus player yet, so we shouldn’t talk about him, but he is a player who doesn’t do normal things.”
Any words for new Inter and Roma coaches Luciano Spalletti and Eusebio Di Francesco?
“I wish them both the best of luck. I think they’ve got a great chance of doing well, although naturally I hope they finish behind Juventus.”
