Having taken his medical on Tuesday morning Luca Marrone seemed certain to join Zulte Waregem but Cagliari have reportedly made a late push to sign him. The Juventus midfielder already travelled to Belgium, but according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari hope to convince him to move their instead.

While it is believed the Italian will honour his agreement with Zulte, he may reconsider now there is an option to remain in Serie A.
