Having arrived at Jiangsu Suning, new Coach Fabio Capello – who will have Gianluca Zambrotta as his assistant – insists Juventus deserved the two Scudetti he won in 2005 and 2006.

“Suning is a world-class group of great importance,” Capello told reporters at his official unveiling. “It wants to do very important things for football and this convinced me to choose them.

“The team can and must improve to get out of this delicate situation. I’ll be the ‘supervisor’, managing a young group of competent lads.

“Gianluca played with me at Juventus and we won two titles together. They were then taken away from us, but we won them on the pitch. Brocchi will also be of great help in Suning’s youth sector.

“There’s a great connection with Italian football here, with Inter and therefore it’s an Italo-Chinese collaboration. With Jiangsu and Inter, we must be able to do as Suning has done in all its activities: bring them to the top.”
