Reigning champions Juventus and AC Milan have been handed a tough run of opening matches as the fixture list for the 2016/17 Serie A season was revealed on Friday.

The Bianconeri open their season at home against Fiorentina before travelling to take on Lazio. Next up is a home match against Sassuolo, while the Derby d’Italia against Inter takes place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Week 4.

Vincenzo Montella begins his adventure with the Rossoneri against Torino, who are now led by Sinisa Mihajlovic, before a tough match against Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

The Azzurri and Juventus renew their battle for the Scudetto in Turin on October 30, while the Derby della Madonnina takes centre stage on November 20 in Week 13.

Lazio and Roma battle for city bragging rights in the Derby della Capitale on December 4 in Week 15 – the same day Napoli play host t0 Inter – and Week 17 sees Luciano Spalletti and the Lupi travel to Turin for a big clash with Juventus.

Milan welcome Massimiliano Allegri’s men to the San Siro in Week 9 – the same day as the Derby della Lanterna between Sampdoria-Genoa – while the Derby della Mole and Roma-Milan headline Week 16 on December 11.
