Valencia sporting director José Ramón Alesanco has confirmed that the Spanish club intend to sign striker Simone Zaza permanently from Juventus before the start of next season.
The La Liga side paid €2 million to sign Zaza – who also had a failed spell at West Ham United – on loan but the deal also contains an obligation to buy the player for €16 million after a set number of appearances.
“Zaza is a Valencia asset, no matter what,” Alescano said during a press conference. “After this half season, he’ll have four more years at Valencia and we need to get the best out of him.
“We hope he scores a lot of goals and makes us happy in every game.”
