The veteran goalkeeper and club captain will be given the prize for his outstanding play in 2016, delivering a string of stellar performances throughout the previous 12 months and helping the Bianconeri in their drive for a sixth consecutive Scudetto.

One lucky reader of our website – only active Around J Premium members are elligible – will be invited to join us as Buffon is presented with the award. The winner – who must obviously arrange their own travel to and from Turin – will be announced just before Sunday’s match with Cagliari.
